About CIRCLE of JOY

We see you.

Circle of Joy expands the impact of Camp Joy Retreats by providing caregivers access to the rest, connection, and support they deserve.

The long days. The constant care.

The love, the responsibility, and the invisible load you carry. Caregiving is profound and meaningful. It is also exhausting, all-consuming, and often unseen.

And too often, the women who give the most have the least space to rest, to be supported, or simply to be themselves.

Circle of Joy exists to change that.

Why WE CREATED CIRCLE OF JOY

This work is deeply personal to us.

Monique cared for our mum through the long, exhausting journey of dementia.

Marea has spent decades caring for her son, who lives with Down Syndrome, autism, and epilepsy.

We have both experienced the joy and privilege of caregiving. And we have felt the emotional, physical, and financial strain it brings. It is constant, often unseen work that stretches into every hour of the day.

We know how hard it is to step away.

And how rare it is to have space to rest, reconnect, and simply be.

What Became Clear

As we built Camp Joy, something became clear very quickly. The experience we were creating had the power to deeply support women, especially those who spend their lives caring for others.

We knew we didn’t want this to be something only a few could access. Circle of Joy was created to expand that impact and to ensure more caregivers have the opportunity to experience rest, connection, and support.

This IS ALREADY MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We are just getting started, and the impact is already meaningful.

With your support, we are creating access to experiences that can shift how women care for themselves and in turn, how they show up for others.

In the words of Abigail, who attended our Camp Joy Ménerbes retreat:

“I feel less lonely knowing that others have walked similar paths. . .the hard thing I went through wasn’t just me.”

This is the power of connection.

Our goal is to build a growing circle of care that reaches the women who need it most.

What WE DO

Through the Circle of Joy, we provide fully funded retreat experiences for women who are primary caregivers.

Each experience offers:

  • Time to rest and restore

  • Meaningful connection with other women

  • Space to reflect and reconnect with self

  • Access to the Camp Joy Inner Joy program

This is not an escape. It’s a return to self.

What WE BELIEVE

We believe caregivers deserve care.

We believe rest is not a luxury, it is essential.

We believe that when women reconnect with themselves,
they return stronger, more supported, and more able to continue the work they do with love.

And we believe that joy is not something to earn. It is something every woman deserves to experience.

Where WE ARE GOING

Today, we are able to offer a limited number of program spots each year.

Through Circle of Joy, we are working to expand this impact by:

  • Increasing the number of funded spots

  • Creating caregiver-only retreat experiences

  • Providing support for travel and respite care

Because when a caregiver is supported, everything changes.
